while the other has a pointed sail end

PLEASE READ: This is NOT a cuticle trimmer! That's why some of you cut yourselves. Ouch! Two different products are offered here. Both have a spoon at one end; but one instrument has a square, straight, blunt edge, and the other has a pointed, sail-shaped end. I don't know what to do with the first one because I've never seen it in a nail salon. But the last instrument (with a sail on one end) I bought to replace the old broken one that had a cheap plastic handle. I recommend this well-made replacement that did its job perfectly: soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes, push back the cuticles (with a spoon), and then scrape off the little bits of cuticles stuck to the nail bed (sail). . . . In order to properly and professionally CUT raised cuticles, you MUST use a spring loaded cuticle clipper/plier shaped clipper. There are many suggestions for sailing here on the Revane. Much luck!
