Update 10/19/2020: I love this grinder. I only use it for grinding steel, so I replaced the abrasive belt with one that's rated for metal (ceramic instead of the original aluminum oxide). I have no complaints so far and use this grinder every other day. This is the exact same grinder sold under the Ryobi brand. I looked for Ryobi at my local hardware store but they were all sold out. Luckily I was able to buy this one as it's cheaper. I made some modifications to this grinder. The first is a replacement for one of the platform/stop weld nuts used on the belt sander part. I can now use the platform/stopper when the sander is upright. I replaced the M6 threaded hole with an M8 weld hole but to allow the use of two Allen screws. See two attached photos. I then modified the ramp to accept an M8 bolt. Thus, the inclined platform can work with both belt and disc sanders. I screwed in an M8 screw to accommodate the M6 thumbscrew (which is used to tighten the incline platform). watch the video I also added a plastic cable clamp to hold a 6mm allen wrench under the belt sander bed. You will need a 6mm hex key (hex wrench) to loosen the belt sander clamp screw (when rotating from horizontal to vertical and vice versa) and the metal platform/stop for the belt sander. I bought a zirconia abrasive belt/disc. from another site as I plan to sand metal and not wood. I noticed that others have mentioned using this to make knives. The device is quite heavy and I'm not sure if I need to screw it in. The speed is enough for work, I plan to use it for grinding various metal parts, mainly for automotive purposes). Changing belts is easy, as is changing a 6-inch sanding disc (pressure-sensitive adhesive). I will update this review as I use it more often.
