I bought this and used it regularly and it worked great for a while. But after just a few months, he developed a bad habit of honking his horn indiscriminately at the slightest breeze without pressing a button. It looked like a small short in the wiring. So I took it apart and found that's exactly what had happened: the internal wires and cables are unusually cheap and brittle, and the wire had snapped out of the case. I fixed it with tape and it worked great again. A month later it stopped working at all (tried to change the batteries) and this time I was fed up and didn't want to take it apart again, thinking the fragile wire had broken somewhere again. If you don't expect to use this for over a hundred rides or so, then this is a great deal. For example, I'm thinking about buying a few more to drive in high theft risk areas where sometimes you forget to take the horn off and then it gets stolen. Basically they are disposable and the price is very good for a disposable horn that you will use dozens of times before needing to be replaced due to theft. But outside of that situation, it's a bad deal. Good electronics can last for many years, and you will spend a lot more constantly replacing or repairing them than buying a good one once.
