That's not a cowbell!

Oh yes, it's bloody loud and definitely gets people's attention. Make sure you use fresh batteries or you may think, as I thought at first, that this is not what they advertise. Only one or two sounds are useful, the rest are silly, and the point is to draw the attention of pedestrians who keep veering off Manhattan's bike lanes. If you're cycling around town, forget the bell (nobody hears them) or the car horn (they're ignored), but a clear, sharp, high-pitched YELLING makes you look up from…

It's noisy! It's fun to scare people with it.

I was trying to motivate myself to write more reviews. Well this thing is definitely a step up from my old electronic bike horn. High notes are exceptionally loud. I accidentally scared the neighbors with it the other day. On a practical level, however, it only serves its purpose with one of the five sounds. This noise actually sounds like a horn (reminds me of a moped). I want that particular sound to be a little louder; Don't get me wrong, it's still very noisy. After all, for the price, it's

It was easy to install and has held up well to wear and tear. Requires 2 AAA batteries to operate. You have not been included. The black button is the horn button to activate the sound. Attaches separately to the steering wheel. The red button on top is the mode button, it changes the sound that is played when the black button is pressed. There are five different sounds to choose from. It's not a cheap little horn, but has a pretty powerful and very loud sound. Everyone should have one on their

Would recommend to a friend, great horn.

This is a great sonar. I live in New York, so the bike lanes are full of crazy drivers and stupid pedestrians. This horn is loud enough to alert anyone to my presence. It has a few different sounds and I like that there is a small cord that can go where I need it, I have a button for the horn right next to the shifter on the steering wheel so I can turn it off at any time. Notification. I also really like how it's attached to the bike. The tone button attaches like a rubber bike light, but the…

To make matters worse, they almost always wear headphones

They're not exaggerating in the slightest: This is the LOUDEST bike horn I've ever heard, and that's exactly what I need. I ride off-road on paved terrain. Too often I meet pedestrians with children and/or dogs who completely block the road or endanger my bike. To make matters worse, they almost always wear headphones. It's the only bike horn I know of that's loud enough to get through and warn them I'm about to overtake. Only possible downside: it used to scare my poor dog so much that one day

Has a few issues but is still worth the money.

Okay, I have a few issues with the design of this horn. The cord from the horn to the button is only a few centimeters long and doesn't reach much further. I wish the cord could be detached from the horn itself. This allowed me to remove the horn without removing the activation button from my bike. The stretch band on the activation button isn't the best and I almost ripped it several times during installation. At the moment I'm just looking for the best place for it. Otherwise I'm very happy…

Works great initially but breaks very soon due to fragile wiring

I bought this and used it regularly and it worked great for a while. But after just a few months, he developed a bad habit of honking his horn indiscriminately at the slightest breeze without pressing a button. It looked like a small short in the wiring. So I took it apart and found that's exactly what had happened: the internal wires and cables are unusually cheap and brittle, and the wire had snapped out of the case. I fixed it with tape and it worked great again. A month later it stopped…
