All Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB dongles are ok; If they work! I have a box full of these and have found the handheld scanner to be the easiest and most reliable option to have on hand. I had one of the simplest, with a tiny display that would fit in my pocket. This one is larger, has a better display, and more detailed code information. I usually find that simply scanning errors or logs doesn't give the full picture, but it gives a pretty good idea of where to start. Live data screen helps you track data to check engine health. Although it is slow, it is mainly due to the low transmission speed of the ODB2 protocol. Don't blame the scanner. The only thing I don't like is the mini USB port. For real? Of all the connectors that cost a penny, did you choose the outdated mini-USB? Although a cable is included, I wish there was a more common connector. Besides, it is a good device for those who want to scan their cars or need a quick diagnosis. Hope this helps with the decision.
