Yes, I mounted them correctly, but a little over half a year and they groan and groan when extending and retracting. You can feel them vibrate as you raise or lower the bar against something that isn't lubricated. Apparently cheaply made for a quick profit. Certainly not designed to last. I wouldn't recommend them unless you decide you don't need their service for at least a year. I gave no stars because they work. However, they cannot briefly grind and vibrate without interference. The passenger side brace generates 80-85% rattle/vibration while driving. Either I have a bum, or quality control at their factory/wherever it's made is sorely lacking.
