Review on 60Hz Glossy Screen Planar Helium PCT2235 Resolution Monitor (‎997-8286-00) by Alan Reels

Died <2 years ago but still love it

TL; DR: It's worth the initial investment for short-term gains. I have two of them (helium) and the first one stops showing the image after 1y8mos but turns on. I would still recommend buying it given the size and price (at the time). More info for people like me who read too much of this: Bought a few of these for data work in the early days of the pandemic (April 2020). My work PC was running Win10 at the time and I had no problem using all of the features right out of the box when it was docked for all the different outlets they came with. The dual monitors allowed me to work with both screens for the web and the smaller AWS+ laptop screen for messaging and email. That was great! When I wasn't at work, I'd switch to my PC and surf the web or try new recipes, using only the touchscreen feature to keep the keyboard (mostly) clean. to a smaller workstation, put another in a closet. The most used (no touchscreen as it didn't work well with my Macbook Pro or Air) was not removed from its original location but stopped working in December 2021. I've tried multiple HDMI cables and different laptops with no change in the result. I brought the second one I'm writing this review with. Color is still great, no lags at work, and I'm glad I got two when I needed them. I now have a 34" widescreen and would like to rotate the running planar to run in portrait mode, but to do this I need a stand. I've heard a lot of good things about VESA mounts specifically for them, but I really don't feel like getting into that much work. So if I can find a regular support stand I'll go for it. Most likely, you will have to disassemble a non-working monitor. For parts.
