This toy fulfills three parts of the STEM description: Science, Technology, and Engineering. Mathematics really isn’t needed for this toy, unless the child wants to count the marbles! It takes assembling and for younger children, adult help is absolutely needed. An instruction sheet is included in the box. The manufacturer’s suggested ages are 3 years and older, but I supervise my 3 and 4-year-old grandchildren when they play with this set. It’s made of thin plastic and is a bit cheaply made and it can be knocked over by my grandchildren, if there’s too much touching. Four LR44 batteries are needed for the four LED marbles and are not included in the kit. This marble run toy is fun! Why, oh why, wasn’t an entertaining, time occupying toy like this available when my daughter and son were little? I recommend this toy.it keeps children occupied and fascinated while having great fun!
