When my 1GB Sandisk MP3 player gave up the ghost I stumbled across Amazon looking for something the same size and functionality. I wasn't looking for a video player but came across this player which had more memory than my old player for comparison. i bought him This player turned out to be MUCH larger than I expected from a "Coby" video/mp3 player. Yes, the screen is small, but if you're in the market for something that plays video you might not be interested, or there are complaints that the screen is too small and hard to see, well you already knew what the size would be screen. Apart from that, I put several different types of video files on this player and it plays them perfectly. The nice thing is that if you get stuck somewhere, you can just quickly skim a 30-minute episode of Reno 911 to while away the time. The player also comes with an e-book reader that reads when you insert any .txt file. Also, it has a multi-level timer scroll, so you can just pick up the player and don't have to press any buttons to go to the next page. Player level sound quality at this price point, my biggest complaint is that when adjusting the EQ the BASS setting actually produces less BASS than a rock or jazz setting and is only completely confused by the mids. Also, you don't have to use the included Cony Media Manager software to sync your music. , text or video, and you don't need to convert your video files for the player either. Just search on Google and you will find an offline .MTV format converter that only takes 3 MB compared to Media Manager's 45+ MB. Plus, you can just open File Explorer and drag-and-drop files directly onto your device, eliminating the need to clutter your operating system with additional software. *cough* itunes Overall, this is a great video/mp3 player for everyday use at an affordable price.
