I bought size M which is recommended for 10-12 year olds because my son is 10 years old. Immediately after boxing they seemed to fit him but clearly too small for an average 11/12 year old. Now that I've washed them? You will stick to it! So make sure you go up at least one size and maybe even two sizes if your child's height/weight is over 50% according to the growth charts. The average size after washing is more suitable for children aged 8-10, in my opinion. As for the quality? Hanes is a good brand so the quality is good. But they really need to change their sizing guidelines for boys t-shirts.
