The bigger the better. Contains more salt/pepper so we don't have to refill as often. Yes, some salt/pepper is left on the floor after use. However, the purpose of this item is to pulverize the contents and let them fall out through the bottom opening. So if you're looking for a simple, easy-to-use product that gets the job done, then this is it. Would buy again.
