I have been inline skating since inline skates existed in the 80's. I needed a new pair of handguards because I like going fast and slips happen. While these shields are well made and work flawlessly, I find it hard to believe they should go up a size. I admit that I have big paws. as I make a living as a mechanic but the shorter straps don't go far enough to fit the entire velcro into the loop area. The long strap is long enough. Just be aware if you have large or very large hands.
