Easy - Almost Perfect Transfer

I used to use the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable to transfer data from Windows XP to Windows Vista, so I was disappointed when I heard from Belkin that I had to purchase this cable to transfer data from Vista to Windows 7. Most of my data transfers to a new computer involved manually transferring data via cable or external hard drive. However, I kept skipping files, and sometimes I had trouble finding the right place to look for specific files. Since my last move to Vista was so easy with a different Belkin cable, I didn't hesitate to buy this one when I got my new laptop. The simplicity of the process was worth the money, especially since I know I'll be using it again when updating my desktop. I just followed the instructions and my data was successfully transferred (documents, pictures, videos, windows favorites, email). inbox, drafts, sent). I didn't even have to set up a POP3 email from scratch. Settings and my preferences came instantly. As you progress through the setup screens, you can view the files that were automatically selected for transfer and select other files that you want to include. I ended up looking at some additional files for Photoshop and Lightroom, but other than that I didn't make any changes. After the transfer, I found that my Firefox browser bookmarks hadn't been moved, so that was the only problem I had. This problem is easily solved by figuring out what files I need (using a google search) and then transferring them over my network. You'll need to reinstall all of your programs, so have your discs or downloads and product ready. Key.
