I just replaced the 600,000 gallon model I was using (2015-2021) with this new 1,000,000 gallon model. The inlet and outlet holes matched. I reused the 1"<-> 3/4" adapter that was on the old unit. The only tool needed was a pair of pliers to block the canal. I cleaned and lubricated all the rubber parts with food grade silicone. Of these, two are located on the filter unit itself (one on the inlet, one on the outlet) and two on the couplings. I haven't had a problem with the old block in the 6 years I've had it so I'm hoping this will be a problem. - Free for the next 10 years.
