AMAZING value for kids bikes and accessories

This bike is amazing value and if it's within your budget for your child and you want to step up to significantly higher quality without significantly higher price then this is the ultimate sweet spot of mine opinion. This is a HUGE step up from Walmart/Target/Dicks bikes, and despite what several LBS owners here are claiming (maybe some sort of margin bias?), a friend with his own LBS confirmed that this bike is an excellent value On par with what it is selling. I've benchmarked this against some of his own stock including Cleary etc and for what you get he recommended riding this bike. I don't mind owning and growing a line of Huffy, Schwinn etc from Walmart/Target etc, I've learned that. However, if you can afford to spend a little more on a better bike, ranging from a 16-inch single-speed pedal brake to a 6-speed handbrake, this bike is a better investment, and a much better one, in the long run driving experience for your little ones. . The biggest advantage, besides the improved frame and components, is the weight saving compared to cheaper bikes. The 21lb total weight listed on multiple websites seems fairly accurate, although I have not independently verified this. You just can't get that much weight. area in this price range. It has many favorable qualities for 6 to 10 year olds in the 20 inch category and works as a great entry level mountain bike that can easily transition to the road. It pairs very well with high-end kid-friendly brands like the Cleary Owl 3spd 20" for a lot less than even their single-speed, and while it's not as good as the Spawn, Prevelo, Guardian, or Woom, it'll get you 90 too % of it for over half the price of many of them, by the way! It's also over 3 pounds lighter than the cheapest Trek options like the Precaliber 20" and while it's a good, solid bike, it's $120 cheaper. Minimum. The Precaliber has front suspension, but at this age it hardly gets used. Any day I would choose the weight reduction over the suspension. If you're looking for a reliable bike that mainly has high-quality components, a relatively light frame, a threadless stem and Shimano 6-speed with dual handbrakes, this bike is a great transitional bike. . I'm hesitant to spend over $400 on a bike that my kid will only use for 3 years max, but would have no hesitation in spending another $80-$120 on Walmart/Target/Dicks options. If you have the desire to "hand over", this bike would be perfect. It offers the best components, the best frame, the best weight savings and with proper build and tuning can give years of enjoyment. Two-wheelers for toddlers put this bike on their list of best value bikes in the 20-inch category, and I can easily see why. A few things I dislike about this bike are: Aggressive stance means my son sits/leans slightly forward in a constant attack stance. My son figured it out quickly but it's still a bit more aggressive than I would have liked for a 7 year old. This also means that long journeys are a little more tiring. the handlebar grips are very secure (someone thought they would fall off), but like the others they are not very comfortable, otherwise no complaints so far. This bike exudes a "cool" look for my son with a black and orange colorway that his friends were jealous of and is also from a reputable brand with solid construction. For this age the brakes work great after adjustment and the wheels were relatively correct. ro 20 inch bike if it's in your budget.
