Excellent sound quality, no distortion at high gain

I was looking at some of the inexpensive USB cardioid microphones available at Revain that are sold for gaming, streaming, podcasting and even vocals. These mics start at $30 for the mic alone and go up to $89 for kits that include scissor/pole, pop filter, windscreen, shock mount, and table stand. The average price for a kit is around $60. Yesterday I received the Gudeholo microphone kit with scissors and table stand for only $40. This mic had a volume/gain control and a mute button right on the front panel. After testing the mic at various volume levels and distances using OBS Studio, I was very impressed with the sound quality. Even at 3/4 gain (I didn't turn it all the way up) the mic was undistorted and clear with good bass and treble, but after reviewing my recording I found that the video was lagging behind the audio. I then compared the Gudeholo to a similar USB streaming mic tested a few weeks ago and it had a bit of latency, but the Gudeholo's latency was much greater. Maybe the lag I was experiencing was due to OBS Studio, but I'm not sure. In any case, I was impressed by the quality of the microphone. And later, after some research, I found that the audio and video syncing issue is related to OBS Studio and it can be fixed by changing some settings.
