This worked for my weird situation, and it worked fine!

So the radio I'm using is a Chinese copy of the Yaesu model. So sue me. While the bug was mostly disappointing, after almost three years of use, I found that the comments "It sounds like you're on Chinese radio" were due to the microphone not working. I own it most of the time. I tried this mic my best friend just bought and it worked great. Best of all, it ended up with a weird RJ-11 6P6C connector that's hard to find (because it rarely appears in the description). So I ordered my own, received it and it works perfectly. My only complaint is that it's so new the twisted cord is still tightly wound and more difficult to use - no real complaint. If you need it, take it.
