I've been trying to replace my 27" 1080P monitor for years but never wanted to spend a ton of money. This monitor isn't "cheap" per se, but it's good value and still has the specs I wanted (165hz, 1440p, FreeSync, etc.). I'm really impressed with this monitor. He breathed new life into old games which I put aside due to screen tearing issues. I've been an avid V-SYNC gamer my whole life until I started noticing input lag in FPS games. Realizing this broke my brain and I couldn't play with V-SYNC on afterwards. That means I only had to put up with screen tearing on my 60Hz monitor. FreeSync is the life of Sive and 165Hz gaming is a game changer. The only major issue I had with the monitor is that the backlight shows through a lot. I don't know what it's called, but it's like the backlight bleeding through the black on very dark screens. When the screen is dark I see big white spots in the top corners and so on. I'm at the bottom too. I think it has to do with the type of panel, but for the price I can't really complain.
