Review on Fox Run Stainless Steel and Wood Cookie/Brownie Spatula - 2.25 x 7 inches by Matt Watkins

I received this little cookie scoop from Fox Run a few days ago. The riveted spatula blade moved in the grip; fatal product defect. When asked, Revain promptly sent a replacement (interestingly without requiring the defective blade to be returned). The second spatula appeared normal on arrival; the blade was safe. However, I washed it once in the dishwasher to prepare it for use. When leaving the dishwasher, the wooden handle splintered over the entire length of the handle! I have used spatulas with wooden handles of various sizes with rivets for many years. The riveted blades never came loose and the wooden handles never broke when used in the dishwasher. (I oil the handles from time to time to keep them from drying out.) While the design of this Fox Run cookie spatula seems reasonable, the poor workmanship makes this product problematic at best. I have returned both copies to Revain for a full refund. I advise you not to use the Fox Run cutter. Karel Vinhuizen, San Francisco.
