Review on Purifier Replacement Compatible GermGuardian PureGuardian by Nguyen Taylor

The efficiency and quality of this fake filter makes it stand out. In my anecdotal experience, if I don't turn on my Germ Guardian air purifier at night, I wake up with nasal allergies. With this filter and the original filter both get rid of my morning allergies. In terms of quality, this replacement filter meets my requirements. BUT, as you can see from my picture, the fake filter is no match for it. The original filter (left) has twice as many pleats as the replacement filter (right). Considering that more pleats means more surface area to trap particles, I would argue that there is an advantage to paying extra for the original filter. My understanding is that more pleats mean more efficient filtration AND longer life than a filter with fewer pleats (this product). the light was blinking) and you can definitely see that the original filter is MUCH less dirty than the fake one. And yes, the side of both filters shown in the photo are equally "facing" for an equivalent comparison. Aside from the wrinkling issue, as other reviewers have pointed out, this filter can be very fitting and awkward to install if you don't. Don't put it in at exactly the right angle. Another small thing to note is that the original filter has a hard plastic frame while this filter has a cardboard frame. I'm sure this doesn't affect the filter quality of a product, but it is another indication that the original filter has a higher build quality. can be an equivalent product to the original filter if a difference in pleat design is clearly visible. I know that a fake filter costs half as much as a genuine filter, but I would argue that the premium on the genuine filter makes a difference in terms of higher quality.
