It really works.

This little box actually works pretty well. I used it with two Baofeng radios. I still don't have the volume where I want it, but it works. It basically switches the audio - the radio frequency isn't involved. This is done by two radios. Both radios must be in VOX mode for this to work. You'll have to experiment, and the instructions are far from useless. However, I configured it for UHF simplex input and VHF output to control a local repeater. After a few false starts, everything worked both ways for me. The sound is controlled via the volume settings on the two radios. The box has a rudimentary volume indicator via an LED display. This setup is still being worked on. Worth trying if you need a temporary crossband repeater.
