
I had wanted to try ceramic knives for a long time and finally ordered these. They are indeed sharp, and I have to be extra careful with them. I've only cut myself twice so far. One drawback is they are more fragile than steel. You're not supposed to cut on hard surfaces, like a plate, and you could snap one in two if cutting through something heavy like a squash. They come with plastic sheaths that protect them (and you) when not in use. I'm very happy I got them, especially when cutting things like tomatoes.
