Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG55 205/60 R16 96T winter by Micha Gabriel Czajko ᠌

A little disappointed, a bad purchase.

purchased in October 2022. built in 2022. front-wheel drive; 195/65/15 tires. Wintertime pavement behavior is particularly terrible. It turned out that we were only separated by approximately 10 meters when it finally caught up to Viburnum at a speed of little more than 40 km/h. Both people used the emergency brake. He wore the typical rubber-type, non-studded amtel. Riding on dry asphalt falls under the heading of "keep your distance" and "always be extremely careful." This is bad in cities with heavy traffic and gas/brake use. The fact that not a single spike really flew out in a year is obviously a significant plus. As a result, you feel reasonably secure driving on icy and snowy roads. Unfortunately, this model had not yet received any frank reviews by 2022, so I bought one and read the review in "Behind the wheel": - the worst braking abilities on ice and wet roads, as well as on snow and dry asphalt. low level of comfort due to challenging directional stability on asphalt Conclusion: I won't buy the next time because there are better models in this price range.

Pros
  • When you behave well on the ice, the spikes are secure. adequate quiet.
Cons
  • obscene conduct on a dry pavement. quite delicate to rutting.
