Review on πŸ”˜ Steelex D2611 5" Polyurethane Swivel Caster by Elton Luo

Great wheels for my ottoman!

I really wanted a stool on wheels to move around in the closet. I love having a small seat but didn't want to lift it up to move it every time I need it somewhere else. I bought this from Amazon because it was the only large round one I could find and afford. And he had legs. I figured the legs were just bolted to the floor so there should be a SMALL piece of wood in there and I can use those casters! Loved the red color! I simply placed them right next to the pre-made holes where the included feet should have gone. That way I knew the distance between each (I needed 4) had already been measured at an equal distance from each other (then I wouldn't have to measure or put them in the wrong places). t split the wood. The wheels didn't come with bolts, but most people have bolts lying around (but I wanted to mention that just in case). I actually used 1" drywall screws because my use didn't require particularly long or thick screws. works perfectly! I can move my ottoman exactly where I need it (no less than a rug). A little harder to move when I'm on it and want to run away, but still easy. I try not to do this to avoid soiling the carpet. I liked the 3" because it gave the product enough height (as did the legs) to make the seat comfortable. Plus, I can put my foot in to push! I've posted some of his photos above. I had actually another square ottoman I added wheels to about a year ago.My kids occasionally like to invite friends over to play video games and it's nice to be able to move the little seat next to the TV for a guest.Last time did I accidentally used cheap plastic casters. They broke (if someone leaned too hard on a corner the plastic broke.)They are metal so I will be buying 4 more for this ottoman!

Pros
  • Wheels for plates
Cons
  • Very expensive
