We have hardwoods, a few dogs and cats, and the Roomba does a great job on the flooring and gets under fairly tall furniture. I painted some blocks of wood and made some pieces of furniture taller for Roomba to clean underneath. I mostly have thin carpets and it cleans them well without tangling, but doesn't clean dog hair off thicker carpets very well. I also have a very thick carpet that he cannot clean. Roomba gets stuck between things from time to time and stops until I move it. This happens maybe once in 10 starts. it mostly happens between thicker carpets and furniture. I just moved the rug a few inches so it doesn't happen again. I throw out the trash can and pat the filter every time it works, but it only lasts a few seconds. The first few times it ran I had to reset it during and after startup. About once a month I blow air through the filter with a can of compressed air and clean the casters and wheels. This takes about 5 minutes. I had to put some kind of non-slip skid under the base because it was pushed when the Roomba tried to dock. I love the lithium ion battery that comes with the 805. I think it will last a few more years. It currently runs for around 1 hour and 15 minutes before needing a charge. I have a big house so I plan to work every day. I noticed that instead of hitting every area every day, it sucks every area for a few days. Overall I love my Roomba! I had to make some adjustments but the pros far outweigh a few small cons and it saves me time.
