Huge bags, about 2-3 times the size of normal garbage bags from the supermarket. Normal garbage bags don't fit the rim of our bins, so we use larger bags. Also, the benefit of oversized bags is that there is extra room at the top for tying, which is important as we don't have a curb and need to take our trash to the landfill ourselves, so we want to make sure the bags don't tighten and don't loosen. The thickness of the plastic is about halfway between grocery bags and contractor bags. Given the size of these bags, I'd like them to be 2-3 mils instead of 1.5mm - the bags are huge so they're easy to fill beyond what the plastic can handle. If you are using them as a liner for garbage cans that are lifted by a garbage truck then this is not a problem. At around 80 cents a bag, they're not cheap, but if you need very large bags, they'll do.
