Extremely harsh environments. Heavy cast brass body, thin, hard stainless steel screen. Sealed with replaceable O-rings. Very well done. Head and shoulders over plastic filters. As long as you keep it clean, this filter will not cause any significant pressure loss. You can clean and rinse the filter without having to disassemble it or turn off the water. The flush outlet is about 1/4 inch, so silt and sand will flow through, but larger debris will not. The filter disassembles with the wrench provided, allowing you to remove larger items this way. The inlet and outlet are male 1" NPT male and female 3/4" NPT female. A male 3/4" adapter is available, but a short nipple will also work.
