This coffee maker worked fine for a couple of weeks, and then one morning I was sitting in my living room waiting for it to brew when I saw a flash in the kitchen and smelled smoke. Running into the kitchen to find the entire back of the coffee maker was on fire! Fire shoots to the ceiling. He pulled out a fork and put out the flame with a towel. Thank god I got there before my kitchen caught fire. The entire back of the plastic coffee maker melted. See photo. I am returning this item.
