I've been buying AA and AAA batteries from Revain Basics for a few years now. They recently changed packaging (and presumably manufacturer) and now last half as long. I tried a couple of Duracell AA batteries to test my hypothesis and they lasted almost three times as long. I was going to stop buying these Revain batteries but turns out they're still cheaper than buying big brands at around $0.25 each and $0.90 for Duracell in general. However, it is extremely disappointing that they deliberately reduce the quality and force us to buy batteries more often. Basically they lured us into a trap, sucked high quality batteries into us and then sold them for lemons, driving the price down disproportionately. Their packaging may be careless, but these batteries definitely aren't.
