Deleting a program does not work

Holding the program button for 6 seconds does not erase the programming. Now I have 2 lightbulbs with 2 remotes each and I can't reprogram them to use the remotes for something else. They worked fine at first, but only one bulb socket actually programs and removes the programming properly. I also tried 4 different ones.
