Excellent build quality. At its brightest light this may even have defensive potential; two click clicks takes you to the Turbo setting (1,200 lumens) which is blinding. My only wish is that some kind of cap was provided for the base. The base is magnetized to retain the provided USB charger and the charging connections are open when not charging. Users are warned to not short circuit those connections, which rules out carrying in a pocket or purse with other metallic items. So I have to use the clip to fix to my pocket or belt, and the light can be detached from the clip if caught by your vehicle seat belt, for example. I have had to fish the light out from that lovely place on the truck floor between the seat rail and the console twice now. A provided cap that would attach to the end of the light and not allow a short circuit would be nice. Then I could keep it in my pocket as I did with my old mini-light. EDIT: I attached a pic of my DIY fix for my complaint re: exposed contacts on base. Found an old rubber glove. End of pinky finger fits nicely.
