When my old coffee pot died, I switched to an old coffee maker that I use on camping trips. He was fine for a year. It was slow, didn't make the best coffee and had a lot of cleaning work to do. On the other hand, it is an improvement in the quality of life. 2 minutes to load, 10 minutes to make coffee and 2 minutes to clean up when I'm done. No $ on filter. The coffee tastes great. Easy and safe. No digital, automatic nothing. Plug it in, make coffee, turn it off when you're done and unplug it. No fuss, no fuss, just good times!
