Conclusion? This is a great mount for most SMH series headsets. I have two SMH10 Communicators and use them on two sets of helmets (road and ATV). This kit allows me to switch communication modules between on-road and off-road helmets. The installation depends on the helmet. Fitting it into my road helmets (Scorpion EXO-900) was a chore. I had to completely disassemble the helmet and drill holes in the side pads for the speakers and route the cables. On the other hand, installation in my off-road helmets (AFX FX-21) was easy, requiring only unclipping the underside of the side pads and plugging in the cables since there were holes for the speakers. The downside to these mounts - and this is Sena's problem - is that the mounts are series specific. SMH mounts are not compatible with 20/30 mounts, SF mounts are not compatible with SMH mounts, and so on. That means that if you want to upgrade your communicator, you'll have to buy new mounts for all your helmets - bad Sena design for their own products. Sena needed to create a common mounting platform for all of its communication modules. Pros: - Allows you to change helmets for your comms modules - Decent value when they go on sale for $29. Disadvantages: - Incompatibility with other communicators of the Sena series.
