I bought this item to use as a face mask strap during the elastic shortage. That's not what the product was designed for, so I can't fault them for being a bad choice. The product itself is very durable and you get what you pay for. I highly recommend that you burn or shrink the ends once you cut them as they will unravel quickly. I think that's to be expected with this type of cable. It was of sufficient quality and although it wasn't what I intended, I didn't send it back. It's not the manufacturer's fault that it doesn't meet my needs, and it's so good that we'll be sure to use it for summer camping and the like. I definitely recommend the product, just not for use with face masks.
