It just didn't work for me

I've been using surge protection straps with a shut-off function for about ten years. I didn't know this brand, in the past I mostly used Belkin or Monster protectors. I heard about this brand from my electricity company and Revain had a better price than my electricity supplier so I went with these. I was interested in this article because of the location of the plugs. The balance of well placed forks around the outer perimeter for large load packs and the inner row for regular sized forks was just what I was looking for. As a surge strip - normal. I connect things and they work. The reason I only got one star is because the disable feature never worked for me. I have a TV as a controller and it has never turned other devices off when the TV was off. I've tried changing the power settings on my TV, double checked to make sure everything is plugged into the correct ports, tried the sensitivity switch on the TrickleStar strip, but it still didn't work. Not sure if my TV just isn't drawing enough power to register or whatever, but paying a premium for a mute bar that doesn't work to mute the devices you want is a bummer.
