Should have read other reviews more carefully. I was very surprised when I opened one of the glasses and found that it had the thickest rim I have ever seen on a wine glass. These glasses are probably a good choice for casual dining when you want to keep breakage to a minimum, but they're totally worth it when you're cooking up a fine dining experience. Even when I visited nearby restaurants and ordered wine, glasses with such thick rims were never served. To call these glasses "premium wine glasses" would be a sad statement.
