It is truly amazing. We live in an apartment with other windows nearby and we don't want to share EVERYTHING with our neighbors ha. They let light in for total privacy. I've used this type of window chain before, so I was ready, but if you haven't I highly recommend a few tools: a ruler, an X-Acto knife, a spray gun, and a credit card. You need to measure the clearance of your window pane. You should then mark the space, leaving maybe half an inch of extra space. After cutting it off, put on the necklace according to the instructions provided. You should use a spray bottle as it distributes the water better. You'll have some extra material, so use the X-Acto Knife to get it perfect. You can always take away, but you can't add back! Now you need to smooth out any air bubbles that got in while filing. Use a credit card and wipe down the sides. Remember, you can always unlock a window lock and rearrange it - that's the great thing about these things. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't look quite right, you can always arrange it right again.
