Terrible video quality

This camera was recently purchased for my van but after a quick test run before full installation I quickly realized that this thing is awful. I installed a new head unit and even though I opened everything up in the dash I wanted to test this camera out before running all the cables to it and I'm so glad I did. Even in good light, the image quality from this camera is terrible. . And by that I mean extremely grainy and fuzzy to the point where you have to strain yourself to figure out what some features are when it's not something obvious. This too is in good light. Surprisingly, it performs almost the same in low light, albeit dimmer. That said, low-light performance is still pretty poor (just not as bad as expected given the already poor quality). Can't speak for water resistance or durability because it won't stay in my van. I do NOT recommend this camera. . The only reason I went with this was because of a recommendation from a Wirecutter article about a good budget backup camera. You were wrong. "You get what you pay for" is true again.
