I haven't welded with a MIG welder in almost 20 years. I changed the candle and started, made about 15 welds with it. The problem isn't with the car, it's with me. I converted the settings from mm to inches to get the starting range. Setup instructions are in metric units, not imperial units. I remember how it was supposed to sound, so I adapted it to match. My welds are terrible, but that has nothing to do with the welder because I ended up with a really good weld. This weld I had to smooth out and it was good, no holes and very little BB spatter, very little. I have not tried the possibilities of arc welding either at this time or in the near future. I've only had it for 2 days so I don't know about durability. If there is a problem with the welder, please contact the company, they will try to help. I know this because the first one I had wouldn't turn on. It was a malfunction and they sent me a new one.
