Initially, I washed the trays and covers in hot soapy water to remove any manufacturing residue. Unfortunately, the tops did not fit snugly after the wash. The trays are too flimsy for my taste. Also, Product is smaller than I expected. Each tray is good for one glass of ice. Upon filling with water the trays needs to be supported with a tray or a flat plate to transfer them to the freezer without spilling.
