Helps reduce clutter and odors
This is the perfect tray. I bought a top entry box last year but ended up keeping the regular box as well because my older (and larger) cat didn't want to use the top entry box. I was disappointed because the top entry seemed to contain the smells much better. It's the best of both worlds. My younger kittens use the lid and my older cats can use the 'regular' inlet, the plastic valve helps retain odors and cuts off loose debris.
