works great. Very cool looking little bubbles. CO2 regulator must be at least 30+ pi. The product will not function at lower pressures per square inch. If the CO2 bubbles are larger than expected, this is due to constipation/algae. I soak it in bleach at night before changing the water and process it in an aquarium chlorinator before leaving it in tap water overnight. . This way all the bleach will be gone in the morning before the CO2 timer kicks in. I had an oscillating algae infestation so I cleaned this product several times with bleach and it was like new after each cleaning. I give this product 5 stars because if I ever need to replace the white ceramic disc in the diffuser, the ceramic disc is available separately for about $1.5. I've only seen this disc next to this product at the local fish shop. I use it in a 10g tank with medium to tall plants and the CO2 fall off indicator goes from blue to amber (no fish in the tank) at 1 beat per second in less than 15-20 minutes. So I only have a 30 minute difference in timer between CO2 on and timer on and my Dwarf HC beads appear fairly quickly about 5 minutes after turning on the lights.
