Review on 🧀 Rösle Stainless Steel Sturdy Cheese Plane: A Reliable 9.5-inch Slicer & Shaver by Ebony Brown

Finally found the best out there!

I have tried several mandolins. I have a good de buyer that I enjoy using and it cuts the most even slices of any mandolin I've tried. BUT, it's BIG, harder to clean, and it's just not a mandolin. I feel like I can just go and get it over with. So I was looking for the best mandolin available for everyday use. It took me a week to research. Bought a pair then sent them back. I chose 2. The professional kitchen preferred the timeless classic cheap Japanese Benriner and the more expensive and durable Rösle construction. I take 90% Rösle. It just cuts, but that's what I need every day. And because it's stainless steel, it doesn't pick up onion odors, which I like. Rinse quickly under running water. It's easy to dry and ready. It literally takes me a few seconds to chop an onion and I'm not crying ha ha ha. The Rösle cuts CLEANLY and quickly and the included handguard works great when you need larger produce and chop it down to the last bit. I think this will last me years so it's worth every penny. Due to the lack of videos and reviews about this slicer, it receives almost no promotion or praise on the Internet. Too bad because THIS is the best of all when it comes to easy cutting. For julienne or lager style fries, I use my Benriner, which I also love. It's much smaller, it's plastic, but strong. It's very spicy and I can use it on small veggies sometimes. It's also worth a try, although it's no better for Rösle slices. To get a straight slice, the only Benriner that works is the smaller one, 3. The design allows you to use a plastic surface that you slide the veggies on while applying pressure, resulting in uneven slices. Small, the problem is almost non-existent.

Pros
  • Cheese slicer
Cons
  • Long time
