What a practical device! I mainly drink white wines, but I sometimes enjoy red wines with dinner as well. I'm single and prefer not to drink a whole bottle of wine at once, so I have to "cork" a storage bottle, chilled or not. I've tried different options: reusing the original cork, multiple variations of "vacuum" cork, etc. This one works the best I've tried so far. You just slide it over the hole and fold the ring down and you have a watertight seal. This also keeps the height of the bottle more like the original. Replacing the original cork means you have a larger bottle, which makes storage an issue for me as my fridge shelves are positioned to hold an unopened bottle of wine. This gadget solves that problem. Definitely an improvement in wine storage solutions. Solid 5 stars.
