Review on Dorman 931 636 Door Actuator Motor by Gustavo Mathew

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Poor quality, combine it with original parts to get a good replacement.

Same as others said. If you put it on properly, it will be very difficult to open the door. It could potentially weaken with years of use, but my key won't last that long. It really takes a lot of strength. About to bend the key. It is possible to loosen the 3 screws holding it to the door but it is still very tight. Even if left loose, the mechanism isn't as smooth as a factory part. My 2500 doesn't have keyless entry, so I know very well how it should be. Since I've only driven 90,000 km, it hasn't really worn out. The internal gearbox and motor failed and had to be replaced. To update:. The black feather causes most of the binding. The rivet hinge was also very loose. I took most of the original metal parts and put them on a new plastic motor/great body and made the exchange as smooth as it was originally.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
