Review on ๐Ÿš— Metra 1984-7501 Installation Multi-Kit: Ideal for Sub-Dash Mount Radios in Mazda Vehicles 1984-1997 by Corey Krull

Too many for one kit

If you have a different version of the dash kit I strongly recommend something else. Yes, it served its purpose, but the sheer amount of modifications I had to make to this set was insane. In my opinion, a Dremel tool, box cutter and sandpaper are almost a must for this. The fact that this kit is for nearly a dozen different cars is insane. I'll never know why Metra doesn't release a separate kit for the Miata, one of the most popular cars on the road. After installation I had to get rid of 66% of the screws you have to use to hold the plastic together. In addition, to install the kit in the first generation Miata, you must round the bottom corners, which is not mentioned in the instructions. And also that I could only line up one set of screws with my radio, so now it spins in the case if I'm not careful (I realize my choice of radio could also be to blame. Honestly, the only reason why i gave it 2 stars was that technically it actually worked. Just ignore the hours of modification and validation before actually installing it.
