1994 Miata Installing Best Radio Accessories

I've installed CD players in cars before, I'm by no means a pro but I have more than enough tools and skills to tackle this project. The instructions are pretty clear on what is needed to install the kit in the Miata and what is needed for different types of CD players. What is not clear is that all that needs to be cut off the kit is to install it and it NEEDS test fittings to install properly. Cutting should be done with a dremel or similar cutting tool as a utility knife is very difficult…

  • Lighting and Electrical

Too many for one kit

If you have a different version of the dash kit I strongly recommend something else. Yes, it served its purpose, but the sheer amount of modifications I had to make to this set was insane. In my opinion, a Dremel tool, box cutter and sandpaper are almost a must for this. The fact that this kit is for nearly a dozen different cars is insane. I'll never know why Metra doesn't release a separate kit for the Miata, one of the most popular cars on the road. After installation I had to get rid of 66%

1994 Miata Double Din Install

I purchased a 1984-7501 Metra kit to install a double din in my 94 Miata. First you will need a Dremel with a plastic disc cutter and a grinder. I used two sidebars labeled "1". The "B" tabs are the attachments on the car you want to use and cut off all the other tabs. On the other hand, you'll need to sand down pretty much all the other protrusions to make a flat board on which to mount the radio. Depending on what radio you have, you may need to play around with the holes. This sets the depth
