The first time I used a neck stretch was when I went for acupuncture for a perforated nerve in my neck. The practitioner gave me a much more sophisticated stretcher than the current model and expected me to use it at the maximum angle the first time I used it. I liked this experience so much that I decided to try this product. It's definitely not as large an angle as the one my acupuncturist used on me. But it's softer, less intimidating, and a better choice for beginners in my opinion. The shallowest angle is easy enough for almost any beginner, the medium angle is fine, and the highest angle works best for me. However, after using the device for less than a week, I feel like I've mastered it and can honestly use a higher angle to keep my neck free of the myofascial knots that so often cause pinched nerves. I had no trouble pressing the base like the other reviewer had. Mine worked perfectly for me except for one less than perfect angle. If you read this review, give it a try and come back if you don't like it. If you're familiar with neck stretches, this will be as gentle as you'll find.
