Definitely does what it's supposed to do, it's bright enough to be seen from long distances especially on the motorways where I've used it a few times, easy to change patterns work well enough except that you can't know what pattern you have unless you start over, and every time you change a pattern you have to go back to see what it is and if you make a list for yourself it can easily do it, but other than that it works pretty well. The only issue is the length of cord you have when you receive the extension. Make sure you pick the right one as the one I received was actually a larger diameter than the one that came to light and I had to make a small modification to get it hooked up
