just bought a new reef tank with 4 inch socks. Having had large saltwater pools for many years, I hate cleaning and changing filter socks. To the point where I stopped using them and had a stash of 7 inch filter socks in my garage. I ended up deciding on a roll fleece filter which is too big for my new 4" holes. Cite my decision to try the Reef diaper. I bought 2 sock flanges about 2 weeks ago and I really like them. So I went ahead and bought 2 more to fill the sock holes in my palette. I've noticed that socks "tell" you when they need to be replaced by sticking out. The replacement is also very easy. The replacement only takes a few minutes. Socks are changed once or twice a week. Great product I am very happy with. Would recommend to anyone who has 4" filter socks.
